Lady Rossmore

The Dowager Lady Rossmore died yesterday morning at Ranby Hall, Retford, at the age of 82.

Julia Ellen Josephine Lady Rossmore was the second daughter of Mr. Henry Lloyd, of Farrinrory, Co. Tipperary, by his wife Harriet, daughter of Sir John Craven Carden, the first baronet of Templemore, who married as his third wife a sister of the second Lord Rossmore. Thus she was a cousin of the third Lord Rossmore, to whom she was married as his second wife in 1846, and she was mother of the fourth baron, who was killed in a military steeplechase at Windsor in 1874, and of his brother, the present peer, and grandmother of the Duchess of Newcastle. Her husband died in 1860, and she married three years afterwards Lieutenant-Colonel George William Stacpoole, of Eden Vale, Ennis, who died in 1894.

The funeral will be at Retford on Monday.
