WILLIAM CATCHPOLE of Ashby and Rockland St. Mary, lost his right arm while out shooting after which he was known as ‘arse-end Catchpole’, b. 24 Jul 1831, bapt 14 Aug 1831 at Rockland, m. 11 Nov 1854 at Rockland, AMELIA, dau of JOSEPH RUDD and his wife MARIA (née SHORTEN). She was buried at Rockland, aged 55, on 7 Dec 1887 and he was buried at Rockland on 13 Jan 1897 having had issue:
